TORONTO NEEDS
Lower taxes & utility charges
Public safety, security & order
Evidence-based decision making
Public infrastructure maintenance & improvement
Fairness, consistency, transparency & accountability
Focus on municipal responsibilities (Roads, TTC, Police, Parks, Sewers, etc.)
Restriction of all running, skipping, biking events to parks & trails – off the roads
Reduction in number of tax-exempt properties and increase in Head & Bed Levies
Cancellation of Grants/Rebates (Political Donations, Eco-Roofs, Circular Food Innovators Fund, Local Leadership Grant, PollinateTO, Climate Action Fund, etc.)
Re-allocation of about $2 Billion, 10% of Toronto's Annual Operating Budget (the handouts to charities, non-profits, and other) – all of whom can raise $$$ funds from the private sector). Note: The Federal Gov't is currently fundraising in the private sector to renovate 24 Sussex Drive, the official residence of the Prime Minister of Canada.
